About Us

Established by Dr Isobel Scott in 1976, Noah’s Ark is a thriving day care centre in the heart of Forres that provides specialist support for children with additional needs, alongside mainstream day care for children aged 2-5 years.

With a purpose-built building gifted by Sandy Adam in 2004, Noah’s Ark is a partner centre for the Moray Council’s Educational Services, offering funded childcare for eligible children aged 3-5, as well as a popular 2-3 group.

We are committed to making children the centre of our work.

We value and demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, diversity, social justice, anti-discrimination and protecting and caring for children.

We aim to provide safe, happy learning environments where every child feels secure, valued and confident.

We recognise that each child is an individual with their own personality and therefore we ensure that each child is respected and valued for who they are.

Our Philosophy

We encourage each child to develop at their own pace and according to their personal learning style.

We believe that in order to promote children’s pre-school development it is essential to involve, respect and work in partnership with parents and carers.

Our ethos is to encourage open, positive and supportive relationships with children and their families.
