Developmental Care

Noah’s Ark is one of four developmental groups in Moray.

Established in 1976 by Dr Isobel Scott, we welcome pre-school children with additional and developmental needs, ranging from two to five years of age.

All children are referred by a professional agency involved with their care, as described in our Admissions Policy.

We recognise that children only have one chance at childhood and their pre-school years are the most important and formative of their lives. Our aim is to create relationships which are supportive and prepare an environment that is stimulating and challenging for each child regardless of age or individual needs.

We support our children to make choices and decisions about their play and learning, helping them feel confident and in control of their own experiences.

At Noah’s Ark we work closely with visiting professionals, such as primary school teachers, health visitors, speech and language therapists, language support for early years, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, visual impairment teachers and educational psychologists.
